This applet demonstrates the rigorous ε-δ definition of the limit of a function of two variables. By adjusting ε and δ, it shows how f(x,y) falls within the ε-neighborhood of L when (x,y) is in the δ-neighborhood of (a,b). It features interactive 3D surfaces and cylinders to illustrate the geometric meaning of limits in multivariable calculus.
