Tangent Slope and Derivative Demonstration

This applet demonstrates the geometric meaning of tangent slope and derivatives. By constructing points and secant lines on a function's graph, it calculates the difference quotient Δy/Δx, visually showing how the secant slope approaches the tangent slope as Δx approaches 0. It includes reset and zoom buttons to help users dynamically explore the instantaneous rate of change at a specific point.
